Good afternoon ENTELEC Community members,
It’s that time again for the annual ENTELEC Spring Conference, and along with the Roundtable talks, vendor shootouts, training sessions, presentations, and exhibits, we will again hold the golf tournament at the Tour 18 Golf Course located in Humble, Texas. The event is a scramble style format open to all participants – from the beginner to the novice. It doesn’t matter how you play - it always is a good time for those who partake. The course contains many incredible replicas of golf holes from some of the greatest golf courses in America, such as Harbour Town, Bayhill, Pinehurst, Augusta National, La Costa, Sawdust, Desert Inn, Colonial, Pebble Beach, Oakmont, Shinnecock Hills, and Doral. ENTELEC is very thankful to Lockhart & White for helping coordinate the golf event again this year.
The golf tournament is a chance for those participating to visit with one another and possibly discuss the latest developments in technology, or ask questions to other users and vendors about their products, services, equipment, or applications; but more importantly, it provides the time to expand on the existing relationships we have throughout our industry as well as developing new ones. Often while traveling to/from the course or during the time at the golf club, many people, from vendors to customers, from users to providers, will reach out to talk about the upcoming show - the exhibit floor and what they expect/hope to see, questions they hope to find answers, and the scheduled events throughout the conference.
The golf tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, to begin that morning at 7:30 am. Since the vendor shootout will not begin until 2:00 pm that should provide ample time for us to complete the round of golf and return back to participate with the shootout. It is easy to register – go to the www.entelecshow.org site and click the ‘Hotel/Travel’ link.
I hope to see everyone there – let’s see if we can fill the course as we did many years ago!
PS Part of the fun is seeing how I’m dressed for the golf outing – is anyone brave enough to out do my attire this year? We’ll see…
