Industrial IoT WG LoRaWAN Webinar
July 11, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Wireless Sensors using LoRaWAN Low-Power Wide Area Networks offer improved operational efficiencies in Upstream and Midstream processes.
Major factors driving Wireless Sensor deployments in Oil & Gas include the adoption of new technologies, at new price points, enabling applications that have never before been up for consideration. Driving wide scale use of Industry standards based Industrial IoT architectures from a broad ecosystem, connecting remote sensor and machine data to analytics platforms at scale.
The LoRa Alliance is the fastest growing technology alliance with more than 500 members companies committed to enabling large scale deployment of Low-Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), capable of connecting low-cost, long battery life sensors and actuators using the LoRaWAN® open standard and accredited certification scheme.
In this Webinar, you will learn the difference between LoRa and LoRaWAN and how Low-Power, Long-Range Wide Area Networks are empowering operators to improve operational efficiency, revenue, real-time data awareness, while improving safety and environmental footprint in upstream and downstream segments.
Speaker Bio
Hardy Schmidbauer is a long serving Ambassador of the LoRa Alliance which boasts more than 500 wireless and telecom organizations developing and promoting the open LoRaWAN standard for Low-Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN).
